ForScan Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-04-03

Plain-language commitments

  • ForScan does not require an account to scan and manage documents locally.
  • Version 1.0 is designed to process and store documents on your device by default.
  • We do not state that we sell personal data, and we do not present third-party advertising inside the app.
  • If you contact us directly, we only receive the information you choose to send.

Documents, page images, and settings

When you use ForScan, the app may handle scanned page images, recognized text, document titles, export selections, and device-local preferences needed to run the workflow.

In version 1.0, these materials are intended to remain stored locally on your device unless you decide to export, share, or otherwise move them out of the app.

To operate the core document workflow

The information handled by ForScan is used to capture pages, keep them in order, run OCR, prepare cleanup suggestions, export files, and reopen prior documents in local history.

No broad tracking statement

This website does not use third-party analytics scripts. This policy also does not claim any ad-tech profiling or tracking behavior inside the app for version 1.0.

Conservative disclosure

ForScan may rely on Apple platform capabilities such as camera, file sharing, or OCR-related system frameworks. If a future release introduces an optional cloud-powered cleanup feature, the app and this policy should be updated before it is broadly offered.

  • You can choose what documents to scan and what files to export or share.
  • You can remove documents from the app if you no longer want them stored locally.
  • You can decide whether to contact support and what information to include.

ForScan is not specifically directed to children. If the product data flow changes in a material way, this policy should be updated with a new effective date before the new behavior is relied upon publicly.
